The capsule pro fits very well with the rest of my MIOPS gear. Shipping was faster than expected with no issue. I only gave it 4 stars because the power button on the one capsule seems too be a little tricky to press. I hope this doesn’t give me problems in the future.

The kit arrived fairly quickly which was awesome. Had a bit of problem upgrading the firmware but the support was quick to respond so that was good. The new version of the MIOPS app on my Android does not seem to hold the settings and the way to save the settings for a particular scenario setup is not what I was expecting. Perhaps I have not read the user guide sufficiently. I expected a simple SAVE function that one could click on to save my entire configuration but don't seem to be able to find it as it goes back to the default. The new version of the kit is definitely more controllable.
Product arrived within the estimated time. Pitty enough i didn't have the chance so far to test it as the only times there was lightning, i was working. I will post another review when i got the chance to test it.
This is actually my 2nd unit I wanted a backup for different types of liquids. The learning curve is nothing you see online. It's the mixture of different liquids in unit & base, temperature, height of drops, depth of drops. But once you figure out what you are looking for, it's so easy and addictive. The results are practically unlimited to your imagination. 1 great camera. 2-3 flashes, remote trigger, different backgrounds, tripods, flash gels, food coloring. Don't forget pen and paper to record your mixtures and settings. Single drops, crashes, crashes in bubble. The rest is pure enjoyment.
Nothing but positives. Ordering the Smart+ online was easy and straightforward. Item arrived securely packaged and well ahead of schedule. Trigger nicely designed and well assembled. No problem connecting device to my iPhone or to camera / flash. Have yet to try the lightning feature but all the other modes work like a charm. Phone interface easy to navigate. Purchase price reasonable for everything the Smart+ is capable of doing. Very happy with my buying decision.

Does the Smart+ work with my camera?
The Smart+ works with over 500+ cameras including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus and Panasonic. The Smart Pro Pack includes a camera cable. Additional cables for other models are available separately. Use the Is My Camera Supported? checker to confirm yours in seconds.
What does the Smart Pro Pack include that the Smart+ alone does not?
The Smart+ is the trigger. The Pro Pack is the complete system built around it. The spare battery ensures you never lose a shot to a dead device on a long shoot. The 2-metre extension cable lets you place your camera precisely where the shot requires it, not just where the cable reaches. The Lightning Photography Guide walks you through the trigger in a real field context. Everything you need from day one.
Do I need a mobile app or does it work standalone?
Both. The Smart+ works as a fully standalone device. No phone, no app and no Bluetooth required in the field. You can also connect via the MIOPS MOBILE app on iOS or Android for advanced settings, sensitivity adjustment and remote triggering. For first-time users, the app is the fastest way to get started.
I have never done this kind of photography before. How difficult is it to get started?
The MIOPS MOBILE app walks you through every mode step by step. The included Lightning Photography Guide covers settings, techniques and field scenarios for each mode. And if you get stuck at any point, the MIOPS support team is available after your purchase for setup guidance, firmware updates and anything else you need.
How long does the battery last?
Up to four days on a single charge depending on usage mode. The included spare battery means you can swap in the field and keep shooting without packing up.
